The Grace to be Processed

Updated: May 24, 2023

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you" (1 Peter 5:10).

In order for a seed to be secured in the ground and eventually burst into a plant it has to go through a process. In some cases the land has to be cleared and the soil thoroughly prepared before planting takes place, and even after that stage has been completed the seed has to go through a waiting period before any life form is seen. The farmer simply has to trust and know that although it may seem tedious a harvest is coming.

Our Christian walk is pretty much like the farmer and the seed. Long before the strengthening and the settling, we experience a needful process that will make us fit and ready for the blessings. The truth is the preparation stage is not always welcoming and sometimes seems never ending. However, God knows that some baggage, bad attitudes and wrong mindset need to be cleared out of our lives before we can truly be established in Him and enjoy what He has for us.

Let us pray

Abba Father as You prepare our spirits to receive the blessings give us the grace to patiently wait on You amen.
